Just test drive it now Reb, and take it easy. Make sure the problem has gone away and isnt just sitting there waiting to come back and bite you on the ass when you really dont want it to.

Do us a favour, let us know how you get on with the wedding Mr. R mentioned. Keen to know the groom's reaction when he spots you pulling up in yer motor.

Best o luck

C :)

Problem solved - just been out for a drive (spent some time at Tim's - owner of the ex brad horn Barracuda), no vibrations or flashing of headlights from other drivers, car feels right again. Whatever it was has been resolved by the swapping of wheel, nuts and drum from right to left side :D

Just a few photos from today.

Steven (the lad getting married) didn't have a clue what was going on.

He had arrainged for a chap from work (Merc dealership) to take him up in a spanking new Merc something or other? X class or something? Big car with 20" alloys as standard. 7 speed auto. Just coming on the market.

What he didn't know was that the Merc was just taking his parents and then taking him and his new bride to the evening function after the wedding.

So I got Nigle to park at the end of his street behind a van out of sight and I walked along the pavement to his house.

He was standing outside and I pretended I was just walking past. I asked him why he was all dressed up and he told me hae was getting maried. So I asked him how he was getting to the wedding and he said "in the Merc" and I said "no you're not son" and waved Nigle to drive up the street.

His face was a picture. :D

Thanks to Nigle for helping me make the day just a little more memorable for him. He needed his mind taken off the wedding a bit because he was well nervous.

What i hadn't known was that Steve's brother died just 4 months ago and he was a big Yank car fan too.

Nigle made my day too by allowing me to drive his Dodge back home. Thanks mate. ;)

Well I think the only thing that can be said about that is good plan, well executed.

Looks like he also had the great weather to top the day off too.

Well done chaps, that was a good suprise. I wouldnt mind being able to do that with my car - except at the moment they would have to travel in the cab of a low loader, momentarily glancing back at the pile of bits, that currently is, my car.

We were so lucky with the weather as well, it's been raining here since 6 ish, but the sunshine stayed with us for the drive to the venue and hopefully for the rest of the happy couple's day. I was starting to think that the car didn't want to do it, what with the earlier wheel problem and a small water leak from the bottom radiator hose at the same time. Then this morning, just as I'm about to leave for Dave's, one of the heater hose's decides to start leaking slightly  , a replacement jubilee clip (thanx Dave) was taken along just incase. The car never missed a beat though, only to happy to help Dave and you're welcome for the drive back :)
