69 Charger rear suspension stance
My car sits kind of high in the rear, it looks like it has had bigger leaf springs put in but I would prefer a lower stance. Can I achieve the stance of this lovely General Lee by changing my leaf springs and tyre combination? At present I have 235/75R15's on the rear and the springs you see in the pictures.
Can any one tell me what springs I should have? Model number prehaps?
I apologise if this is another rookie question.

Good point Dave.BTW,I would kill for those springs if there arched like that, didn't realise those hoosier 295/60/15s are a whopping 29" tall.DrogoBroadband wrote:Using smaller tyres on there will only open up the gap between tyre and wheel arch lip and the car will look even more jacked up. What rear hangers are on there, are they long ones? Using shorter ones will bring the body down a bit.
You must have those torsion bars torqued up to clear those front arches especialy when hard cornering.Rebel wrote:I have 275/60/15 on the rear with 8.5x15 rimDaveMadders wrote:A million people will shoot me down but I use 225/70x15 up front or 235/70x15 dependant on offset of wheel.
fronts are 225/70/15 on with 7x15 rim
erm, er, you've lost me there
As far as I know, the front suspension is all standard, I do know that the geometry needs checking / setting though (not investigated that far yet). All I did was fit the wheels and check that nothing rubbed anywhere before taking it out on the street. There's more space than is showing in that pic, this one might help
