Very funny, but I think the pics you are taking could be much more sharp and detailed and used for reference for future restorers. However, if you think the quality of your pics, on this once in a lifetime resto, are adequate I will shut the Bananarama! up and enjoy seeing blurry images of your excellent workmanship. I will be on your case the first time someone asks for a better pic of an area that you require help with! :D Keep up the great work, I am loving the thread, just thought a few decent pics would be good, and an excellent reference. :thumbright: Happy Christmas :P

:laughing3:

Im also looking for a hemi 426 and a dana 60 also very very cheap :)

Jokes aside

I will look and see what i can find
this site has all the parts

http://www.deutz-traktoren.de/ersatztei ... rsicht.php

cheap no

There is a local tractor scrapyard to me i will have a look.

Buy the time you have brought and collect it not worth it

Might be best to strip down and rebuild

I can then send you all the parts you need.

Below is a link to PDF manual how to take the thing apart

So back to the real world so the fun can start again

First i welded up all the holes in the engine bay area.

I know that some holes where drilled using the teeth of Chrysler corp unicorns but im going for a no cable no mess engine bay.

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0008.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0014.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0024.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0023.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

##############################################

I then striped both door down

:help: I hope you remember how that goes back together :help:
###############################################
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0016.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

###############################################
I was told buy the sand blasting company that the drivers rear wing where it meets the door handel area was not welded correctly (full with filler).
Was told this should be de welded and moved out and re welded.
I offered both door up and all seems well :? :?

Powder coating

So i just brought DIY powder coating kit from http://www.electrostaticmagic.co.uk/
kit cost me 120 quid and i got a old normal house oven off ebay for 99p
Im using the High Chrome powder. wont be using this for a while but had to take it for a test drive and im well impressed.

I intend to do my complete front and rear axle the same way.

I took the head off the angle grinder for a test.

2min in sandblaster

Connect the - to the metal and the powder is +

20 min in the oven at 200 Degrees

not bad for dirty oven
dirty hands and a dusty garage

Have now attached the angel grinder head to the underside of my daily driver to test it on snowy salty roads

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0025.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... 0027-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0030.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0031.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0034.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... CF0038.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i205/ ... 0039-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I applied the first coat to thick and it pitted went straight over with another coat and back in the oven
