I’m going to run it all in Teflon lined hose, less fittings needed and a much easier install than hard line, I did used to do it that way in the past though.

definately easier for sure. putting over a dozen bends in a 5m length of hardline was stressful i can tell you. one bend the wrong way and it would've been done and scrap.
neil.

New tank is here and the sump has trimmed up nicely for a good fit. Tank needs bolting into the car next so I can mark where the fuel pump mount needs to go, position is critical so I can’t risk just measuring it.

while you have a big hole in the bottom of the tank will you add any baffles either side of the new fuel 'well' to help keep fuel there all the time?
neil.

Rather than cut out the whole area I’ll just cut a couple of large holes in the bottom, that will act as baffle.

Up at the sharp end is a large port mangnafuel billet regulator. A bit overkill for my application but I used the usual Hot Rodder’s reasoning for correct parts selection, “it was cheap and available” so it’s all good.

Bit of progress, correct size fittings in the pump and weatherproof connectors fitted, ready to install. Smaller fittings fitted to the regulator and new feed lines made. Can’t do anything else now until the tank goes in.

Paid a visit to Grace at Brooklands Today and had my sump and fuel pump mount tigged to my tank. Glad I didn’t try to MIG it myself, it didn’t weld easily due to the galvanising on the inside.

it's nothing some careful masking and a can of satin black wouldn't fix though. with the black fittings the top half to match would look fine.
neil.
