Looks great Dom. Interested to hear about these clips, as trying to remove my door card the other day it appears more artistic license was had….by siliconing the door cards to the door #-o

Those clips are interesting, that they are nylon. The shape is the same as Triumph Herald etc, but they were always metal. Nylon, if they hold make sense as they won't scratch up paint and expose bare metal.

Dom, What type and thickness wood did you use for your door cards?

It needed to be 2.5mm, I used MDF but sealed it well after cutting out all the shapes.

I remember it being an odd size to find, ended up getting 4 bits cut roughly to size from a picture framing place online, bramptonframing.com, cost me about £25 delivered.

Thank you Dom. I’m unsure what thickness I need yet but was interested in the which type.

I think MDF is far from ideal really, but the car is kept in a wooden garage with vey low levels of condensation and rarely used in the wet. I did look at Aluminium sheet, but it was more ££ than I wanted to spend at the time. Perhaps a visit to a sign-writer or something like, would turn up some sort of semi-rigid plastic sheet that could be used...
