On the subject of sticky stuff.
Where do you get that adhesive backing to stick badges on cars? Will any small Auto Parts store have it?

Paintwork? I have tried nail varnish remover on a test area as that was all i had to try and get it off with and nothing happened.

Put that back in your make up draw and try some thinners mate, i have used it on paint to get tar off loads of times with no problem, always advisable to try it in a small unnoticeable area first though if you are unsure

yeah toffee wheels are good , can also get them from wurth , becarefull though if you have never used one before , although modern 2 pac paint is resiliant ..still can burn it , although no real biggie behind a moulding . to be honest a toffee wheel is the best way for VW moulding tape

but you will do it like the way i mentioned in my previous posts , just will take longer ....

Ray, thinners will remove tar spots etc and other little bits . It's o.k to use thinners in a small area but I wouldnt reckomend it to use on a large area like the glue behind the trim. The thinners will remove paint but in a small area you could get away with only a small amount of paint loss.
It's just not worth the risk with thinners when so many other useful ideas have come forward.

NO Thinners. NO Scrapers. NO Grief. NO Hassle.
Spend the tenner and use a proper too for the job!
If you were closer I'd be round and do it for you Nana. And I'd use 3M on ANY of your cars. And I mean the Bentley too. I'm THAT confident in this product.
PLEASE DON'T USE ANYTHING ELSE

If its the glue only use RS label remover, spray on leave it a few minutes wipe off with a lint free cloth, bit of meths to take off the residue.
