I like that Budge! It is the one with the curious L shaped rear lights, right?
I'd still have your Lotus Cortina though....

Before I built my tuned 1600 crossflow Mk2Escort I had a rotten 1250cc Avenger with no brakes. It had a rev counter in the dash that, if it was correct, was telling me this little engine was revving freely to 7500rpm.
It was a very nippy car for such a small engine. Great fun to drive. Just embarrasing when bits fell off.

From the Rootes Chrysler website;
The Mark 2 versions were based around the Avenger GL and had four round headlights and a fully equipped dashboard with round instruments. The bonnet bulge and four Lucas lamps were gone but in their place was a matt black bonnet.
Much cheaper Exacton alloy wheels replaced the magnesium Minilite wheels. Wardance Red was an option to Sundance Yellow. The Tiger returned 19mpg but could reach 105mph. When the model was dropped in late 1973, 200 Mark 1s and 450 Mark 2s had been built. It is thought just 20 survive today.
Nice car!

Tough choice between this and Dunc's H120 Rapier. Any pics of that Dunc, only seen the back view behind the Bentley.

I was never into cars at the time but thought the Rapier was a cool and individual looking car.
Back then all cars looked like square boxes, compared to all looking like lozenge-shaped boxes now.....

Really nice looking Tiger Malc

I didnt realise there were so few left, rather wish I had kept hold of mine, mind you it was 1984 and I was offered a Lotus Sunbeam for it........Wish I had kept that as well
