Lovely car Budge.

My Dad worked for Rootes/Hillman all his life and sold these new back in the day. I remember him getting a right strop on 'cos someone had spent ages polishing up the flat black 'bonnet' on the one in the showroom :shock: .

RW71 I think those wheels were Alloys made by Dunlop I had a set on my 3.0GT :thumbright: But I wait to be corrected :roll: very nice motor Mal :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Just found this short article on Avenger Tigers, it makes for an interesting read. It also mentions the wheels too. I reckon they really suit the car. :thumbright:

they really are a crackin lookin car,
and so under valued compared with the escort etc, its weird that they were built on a 4 door shell or were no 2 door avengers built,

You could get a two-door Avenger from about 1973-on? About a year after the Tiger was made I think.

Avengers were sold in the US as the Plymouth Cricket and in some other countries as a Dodge. So yes they really are a MOPAR.

2 door yeah i can vaguely remember seeing a few , having flash backs being in that light peppermint/turquisey colour or orangy red , wernt the saying at the time you could not fit sunroof to these , as body shell too weak :?
prolly on a bout the webasto or glass pop out :?
