Like you Im a bit of a worrier too

I wasnt sure if you could get a trans temp gauge. Id also like to get a fuel pressure gauge as when I was running up the engine after sorting out all the cooler lines, the fuel pipe decided to split and do a "crazy snake" spitting fuel eveywhere. God only knows what would have happened if the hood was still on and Id been driving

Just wanted to know a good place for gauges and piping etc

Markie, I think I've got a trans temp gauge if you want one. I like to keep gauges to a minimum, if I had gauges monitering everything it would just give me more to worry about!

I'll get back to you after the weekend Markie, I'll just make sure I've still got it and the sender unit and stuff. It fits into one of the cooler lines, what size lines do you have on there now?

You can use any water type temp sender. Normal practice is to weld a nut to the pan and screw it in there.

Blue, I have 10mm lines on the car now.

Dave, cheers for the tip but if I can get one that goes in line then Id prefer to keep the wiring away from under the car, better off in the engine bay. As you know on these cars the wiring is a bit suspect! Im lucky on mine as its been well looked after but one day...one day... Im going to replace all the wiring...
