Yes, I don't think this is a smallblock only deal - same bushing, same tool, and same procedure for BB......so net would spread even wider!

Dave all I did was used my tool to install the bushing with bearing adhesive and then I used an old oil pump drive and welded an extension onto it and then with valve grinding paste I used that to ream out the bushing till I was happy with the clearance. The extension was so I could use cordless drill to ream it out.

Hi Anton
Thanks for that I think I will try it your way. I have been on the forabodiesonly site and most people have done something similar to what you have done. The biggest problem is that some bushes you don't have to have the special tool and some you do, but when you buy them they don't tell you which one you have bought. Its just that over the years I have found different ways to do things but this time I wanted to do it with the right tools.
Cheers Dave :thumbright:

:iagree: Thus I like Anton's way - what is the bearing adhesive? Some kind of loctite I assume?

It is made by loctite and it is used when you install bearing in Ali housings to stop them spinning if the bearing ceases. Once it sets it very difficult to remove the bear again.
