I like the orange valve covers much more stealthy when i saw it at Keiths...wicked looking car
Like the lack of mirrors too ...keeps it clean and doesnt distract from its lovely lines

Clearly a different car than the one I was thinking about - that was originally a 383......

Maybe I meant that. The one that was in Luton for a while with Steve who went to Canada and came back?

If it is the one I think it is I think it was one of the 383 non-R/T cars and had the rare front bench seat.
I can't remember but I if it was also a 4bbl 383 that would have made it even rarer as there were only 16 built. 8 of those automatics.
Black roof, black body and black interior. Perfect.
Shame about the valve covers.

It was triple black 383 (with standard hood?) I believe, bench seat etc. being rare Steve took it with him to Canada and used it with a vision to sell but brought it back again.
Very nice car then but looks extremely nice now

I think it always had the flat hood, and bench seat.

Am I right in thinking that it has a narrowed (or Charger) axle case and in-boarded spring kit fitted?
Very nice Challenger.

That is what I was saying. It was a non-R/T car. Hence a flat hood. A big block in a non-R/T Challenger is fairly rare. If it had the higher powered 383 with 4bbl carb then it would be one of only 16 ever built.
A bench seat was an optional extra at extra cost because buckets were standard. Not many people were prepared to pay extra for a bench seat so that makes them rare too. Usually it was single men who liked BJs in the car that opted for that option.
This was always a very rare car. Just not as valued as much as the more common R/T versions. At least that was true a few years ago. I don't think that argument is as true now.
Cutting the dash out and sticking a fat heavy orange between the fenders has only reduced it's value more.

I think we do need to be a bit careful about comments as this is a member's car and I am sure it is his pride and joy
Cracking car!

I am sure this owner can tell, say or handle who ever, to what he wants to say.
I have no sides, but car looks good to me, Triple black all round is a winner for me, nice set of wheels, decent motor, what else is there to want.
