It's so Plain Jane it looks like it ought to be cruising Vladivostock!

Then again, I like the car and dare I say, the original colour! I bet you are itching to find things to chop off Blue!

Another productive afternoon, Fixed the brake light/indicator fault which turned out to be a poor quality Taiwanese indicator switch, managed to repair it. Removed the back seat to check for rust, didn't find any. Pulled a Superior 500 wheel in black out of my collection and fitted that while I was at it. Just need to fix the horn and I think that's all the electrics sorted. Really enjoying myself with this!

Have to say blue that floorplan is one of the cleanest i've seen!
Bar the patch on the passenger side is it all original?

Great to see you getting stuck in mate, I'm guessing you're going to get it registered before you start changing things?

Yep, patch in the o/s floor pan, probably due to a leaky heater or windscreen, super solid otherwise, been in California since day one.Yes Rob, MOT ASAP and get it registered, then get stuck in. It will be a long term project, as time and money allows. I want to drive it as much as possible so no major stuff over the summer months.

Looks cool.
I was never that fussed about manual v8s until I drove one.
Now have a 6 speed camaro as a daily is really good fun.

Good luck blue look forward to your good work as usual.

Yea I've always had a bit of a love/hate thing going on with 4 speeds, but after many years without one I've been hankering after another for the last few years.

Only 4 speed I've driven was a brown Duster that Budgie let me have for the weekend at the last meet for me in the UK (Nostalgias, Shakey, 08?). What a blast, only ran 15s, but felt a lot quicker and the shifting was awesome fun! Looking forward to this thread, Go Blue! 8-)

I tell a lie, back in me old Morris Dancing days a bloke let me hoon his newly resto'd Mustang 4 speed round a small town up Essex after I'd been on the Bananarama! all day. Riuned his arches as the tyres were too big/wide and scurfed them up.....

Well, you can have a bit of fun with it and then drop in a 904 /727 when you have had enough and want to go faster!!! ;)

Not sure I could live with a Mopar 4-speed. Never liked the way they shift or the obvious lack of gears for a high HP engine.

My mate Eddie over in the USA has ordered one of these for his Challenger;

http://www.keislerauto.com/ss700.html

Very expensive. But more like a gearbox should be. Plus it should be tough enough for the 500 inch low block he is mating it with. That block has been dyno'ed and makes 617 HP @ 5800 rpm and 566lbs @ 5600 so needs a strong box.
He has already fitted the car with a Dr Diff dana axle and 4 wheel disc brakes with Viper calipers. Should be a good combo.

My plan is to shoot him in the kneecaps with his Glock while I am over there so he can't drive it and has to sell it to me. :D
