Here's my brother's Jag, Ade and Martin have already been around and given it their seal of approval, I didn't realise it was such a cracker...it's very reminiscent of wafting along in a C body...quite a tool actually.

My father had one of them back in the day,,,i can remember me and my sister in the back ,,it seemed massive back then . Mum and Dad up front suited and booted... ..... of to me nans over Walthemstow .. The old man would get settled in the Swan with his brothers and me mum would have to drive home... Mary watch the car ,mind that bus , slow down ...my ole mum would teach him to have a drink back then by scaring the carp out of him when she drove it.... Lovely car ....would love to buy one for me old man today but i have a feeling at 86 he would never drive it...

Yep that Jag is awesome Ivor, and the smell... mmmmmmm!

Nice that it's staying in the family.

I hope Monday goes well and TRY and get some pics of the Jaguar funeral procession if you can. Like Ade said, everyone on here would love to see it.

Sorry Ivor, I have been out in India for a week or so and have not been logging on as often as I should.

First off, I'm really sorry to hear about your brother - I'm sure things will get back to normal gradually.

Secondly, it was a real pleasure to help out at the NEC and have my car on the stand too. I'm happy to help out in subsequent shows as I'm just down the road (that being the M42 which was closed at J1 for 26 hours during the show) - if 'we'are ever stuck for bright colours, I can easily bring Sublime along again - just park it facing the other direction and no one will be any the wiser. After all, I can call it a Charger . . . !

My belated condolences to you and your family Ivor. I hope the funeral went as well as a funeral can go. Its always sad to lose someone as close, but at least they are in a better place.
