thanx guys. hopefully there will be more mopars in s wales than there were pontiacs, or at least in the club who want to meet up and hit up shows!
howard never said anything to me about the 360..... if he still had it i probably would of bought it off him, i got the car cheap enough lol. hopefully a cam and some other parts will help it down the road. i had a ThumpR cam in my pontiac. anyone here got one in there 318? love the sound of the lumpy idle :D any other cams work well in it?

get some good flowing heads ,otherwise a big cam will be about as much use as a fart in a tent

Hi Matt,
Nice motor you've got there mate.
I've not been a member for very long but I can say that the guys on here are an extremely friendly and helpful bunch. Met a few of them at shows and the Euro Nats at Santa Pod. Thanks to Steve, Dave, John R, Shaun and especially Blue for the technical advice (and can of Stella !). If you need to know anything, the answer is most likely already on the forum but if you can't find it just ask and they will point you in the right direction.
I seem to remember that we met at Billing in 2008 when I was a member of the Pontiac Owners Club. Is your car the white one ? Mine is the silver one.......still got it but it needs work.
Pics are not great.....old camera and dull day.

Ian.

Hi Matt and welcome fellow Roadrunner owner, I don't think Howard actually had a 360 to go in it, im sure it was just an idea but im usually wrong so take that info with a pinch of salt

Hi and welcome a bit off back ground info, your car was brought in to the country by a us service man he was stationed at mildenhall air base i bought your car from the fella it was metalic green back then was always a 318 3 speed car a bit tattay on the rear arches and lower quarters but not a bad old machine, someone i know bought it from me used it for a few yrs and had it painted to how it is now,,,,,,,
crikey has to be at least 10 yrs ago now,

Thanks for that. I was told it was imported by a serviceman in 2001. What years did you own it? It would be nice to trace its owners since then. It still has the rust on the rear quarters, and now some on the sills, front fender and rear corner by the trunk. It does have some other bubbles but im hoping this is more down to the bad respray.

well, been doing some work on here. interior is abit more respectable now, and shes been causing a stir on the streets of Barry lol. loving the car, but not loving the lack of power compared to my trans am...... decided to keep my motor as it seems sound and tune it up, rather than swap it out for something else. are there any recommended set ups for the 318? probably be looking at pistons, cam and intake for now.

Good to hear you been working on it mate. You need to start a workshop thread. With plenty of pics !!!!!
With regards to tuning your engine. All depends what your looking for. ?
If you want to stay small block and get as much as possible , personally I'd be looking at a 360 stroker. Depends what your after !!!
