hi guys, im matt from south wales. ive owned a 1978 pontiac trans am for the last 10 years but long story short, i sold it and bought a 74 roadrunner (just as my partner went into labour.... no connection lol). so on the 10th july, i had 2 new babies.
im sure some of you will know the car.... maybe even owned it, so any background, info, old stories about it would be great :D

ill have a good browse of the forum over the next couple of days, but im going to be looking for some engine goodies soon to up the power and info on the best route to take.

so here she is.

thanx guys. yes i did buy it from Howard in bedford.
3sp manual is fun...... put it in reverse instead of first once or twice lol. no good for burnouts tho, need to get a line lock and lsd :D
im sure ill be picking brains soon. it has a holly 4 barrel and intake manifold but think the intake is wrong for what i want so might have to change it. been told the power range is very high up in the rev range and i want it lower. 2k rather than 5k.

Welcome to the club Matt! :hello2:

Great looking car and remember when Howard owned it!

Look forward to seeing the progress and the car at events next year (or this, but the weather isn't exactly classic friendly)! :thumbright:

Even though he posted about the proposed sale, he never posted if for sale on here (not sure why), so was surprised to see it under new ownership.

I'd expect he'd have sold the engine separately around the same time!!
