Will, I refer you to my earlier comment. Autos are for frail old ladies and pretty girls who don't want to break a nail when they punch the dash on that 2-3 shift :P

Bold talk.

Let's see you run the numbers - that's what counts ;)

if your going to go to all this trouble then go for gold not some sort of bronze alloy

Lenco gear boxes use Planetary Gears and are manual. There are ALOT of second hand parts on euro dragster and you can add change a gear easily.

Yes we all think you should run auto but if you really want this manual lenco is the gold daddy of the manual box.

You only need to know one thing about lencos, they are bloody expensive! They are my ultimate transmission as well, I've got an original set of 1970's pro stock levers and a few small parts, it's unlikely I'll ever have the rest of it though...

Remember that 67-68 Firebird that used to run at the Pod in the late 80's early 90's? I think it was white, that ran a DNE 4+1 and ran 9's in the most spectacular fashion, Bananarama! awesome to watch, it just seemed to leap forward with every shift :D

"Rat Fink" and some of the Swedish cars that used to come over ran them. The Skinne bros Nova ran a mad small block and a clutchless Nash, that thing was proper fast.

Heh heh heh

If they're good enough for Dick Landy...

Dyno and some buddies were at INDY and Nash was checking out Landy's ride and asked him, how are you shifting so well? Landy kind of blew him off in front of people and said, because I been doing this a while, etc.

So about a year later Landy comes up to Nash and says, come over here. He pulls out his spare transmission, backs out the cover bolts, lifts it off and guess what, Doug Nash crash box trick gears were in there.

Landy says, Hey, I am sorry that I was rude to you last year, I was running your gears and wanted to keep it quiet, and so I pretended that I was too busy to talk to you, but thanks
