Dave999, gees you know you stuff, the brain dump was great - thanks, valuable info for a newbie like me, the next time I get a question about the car I maybe able to answer as though I know something...
ute is yellow and green... not sure if it is allowed to post non-mopar on here, but as this forum is "Australian Cars", guess it is ok.

Cannonball, thanks for the offer, not really a twitcher..... but ...

Are there ever any meet ups around Kent / East Sussex ?

Again, thanks for the welcome guys.

ah nice ute but not the one i thought it was

any aussie car is fine in here

think of them as Cars of American Origin....if they used a US platform...given that the rear end of many a 70s holden looks like the back end of a pontiac and the "Open mouth" front end has 70s camaro all over it

no probs

not sure where that definition leaves the torana mind

still just an HB/HC Viva with a bigger motor and a lucky driver in my opinion :)

if CAL had stuck a hemi 6 in a hillman hunter then maybe my opinion would differ.

Aussie Valiants need a home here. I Think the Rootes group clubs just look on us as the cookoo who pushed their beloved Singer Hillman and Humber eggs out of the nest and replaced them with chromed plastic rust and prodigious fuel consumption.

Good meetup is the "Classic Car Club" at the Riverview cafe in Forest Row on 2nd Sunday of each month, from 11 ish.

Or, on a smaller scale, the local rednecks meet at the Berwick Inn at Berwick from 12.00 ish on the 1st Sunday of the month.
