...also as mine has a much bigger cam in it I found that the centre carb metering block could not physically flow enough fuel at idle and I had to fit a Dominator metering Block.
I also had to put too big a Power valve in to smooth out a flat spot at cruise RPM. The joys are endless but perseverance is worth it and will be rewarded.

Spent this morning changing the oil and filter as I'm worried fuel has got into the oil (certainly smells like it). Took the carbs off again and went over them with a fine tooth comb but didn't find anything wrong. Put it all back and it fired up first time but is very fumy, with smoke coming out that makes your eyes sting. The car is quite happy to idle, and sounds ok but I noticed a pool of fuel on the floor beneath the right exhaust manifold, looks like it's coming out of the heat control vavle!? If fuel is getting into the engine it will kill it.
I'm now worried about taking it to the NEC next week as I've got to get it on and off the trailer and drive it into the hall. I'll end up choking everyone to death with the damn thing.

This is when I first fired it up, before I noticed the fluid in the exhaust:

There will be lots of people on hand to push the car to the stand if you need help - we have to push the Barracuda as there is no oil or Trans fluid in it!

The problem with 6 pack manifolds is lousy fuel distribution which is one of the reasons you need some idle fuel from the outboard carbs to help out. Add a long duration cam into the mix and they get very difficult to tune. Once you get 'em set up though they do work well.

Ok I admit to not being an expert on these carbs but I do recognise the same signs when I had running issues with mine. Fuel flooding out - black smoke from exhaust and not running good . Mine was over fuelling .Im sure more good advice from the other guys on here will help you with this.
