In my opinion the '68 Barracuda was the best looking A body ever, the '71 Duster is the only other contender. Glad you've enjoyed my ramblings, I try to entertain and pass on whatever knowledge I've got.

Good that it's already got the 360 in it......Makes go faster easier!
This and the Valiant.........
Was this a factory white Barracuda originally?

Yes it was, unfortunately that colour just makes some of the great lines almost invisible, not sure I could repaint it in that colour.

Blue what a car 1968 Barracuda
Yours look very good in the pictures.
Great and now I know what you mean by your next project
It took me 18 months to find mine, with almost all the the options I had in mind and a price I was happy with, and you are correct they are asking for a lot more money for them in US now.
I will follow your progress and will be in contact.

That looks lovely, wish mine was as solid!
You're right about the colour, white hides a lot of the feature lines.
Good luck with it, be nice to see how it progresses.

Very nice Blue! Did not know they had gone up so much. Good plan though, I imagine your 'investment' will appreciate more than the cash - and certainly a lot more fun
Anyone going to start a book on how long it will take for the first lightening hole to appear

Looks great excellent news.
Buying blind can be a real leap of faith,I can remember going to look at mine with a real sense of trepidation after waiting for it to come in from the states, mine turned out okay and I'm glad yours did too.
I see white wouldn't have been your first choice, but I think they look sharp when they are all polished up,give it a clean before passing final judgement

If like me you're unlucky enough to have to cut the cam bolts to get the A arms out, you've got a job on your hands. For a start they are hardened and will instantly blunt any kind of saw blade, and then you have very little room to work. I found a cheap right angled die grinder with an arbor to take a 3" cutting disc the only tool I could get in there, you need to work slowly and patiently to avoid cutting through anything other than the bolt, I only cut one knuckle

Looks like a good find blue, you must be well chuffed. Glad you got what you wanted. Can't beat a 68 Plymouth.
Are you building it just for the street.
If it were mine I would keep it white with blue decals.
Have some cam bolts if you get stuck.
Richard.

ps don't forget it's supposed to be your retirement project.

Great stuff Blue, I can sense the excitement and potential horror of hitting the Buy It Now unseen in another country!
Why wait for retirement as well, you can't take it all with you, so enjoy now.
