Will....its all just cosmetic stuff at the mo..no technique mate, just elbow grease and rattle cans :D soon as I do something meaningful I will go into more detail.

Dave...rear bumper is average at best mate, though straight.Chrome is very dull and pitted on the front. If I was doing race rep, I would be tempted to paint them alu silver but just seems a bit 'wrong' if you get my drift.

Soon as Ive got my air tools up and running I will get stuck into the trunk :thumbright:

Quick update of recent work done over past couple of weeks...

Front grill and radiator support freshened up, holes in leading lower corners of both doors repaired and painted, work started on rewiring front indicator circuit (think switch is kaput) and finally started on the trunk. Rot cut out and bit more work than I thought to be done. Im going to replace the lower rear sections of the rear quarters while Im at it. They have been badly repaired in the past so will cut all the old patching out and weld new sections in before I finish the trunk floor. I may put the new internal drop off sections in while the outer sheet metal is off...think it will be easier...watch this space!

Big thanks to Will for his recent generosity. Went to see his Charger last week and he donated a full dual circuit brake set up for me to use to upgrade mine from single circuit to dual circuit. Thank you very much Will....you are a gent, and a talented guy!

Finally, thanks to Dunc for some little bits n bobs to keep me going...new (old but better than mine) door handles on and indicator harnesses being adapted to fit when my rewire is done....few pics

cheers Steve

Thanks men, taking her to bits is easy ....its the putting back together bit thats hard! :thumbright:

I got hold of some 18 gauge sheet steel this morning. All marked up for folding andr bead rolling tomorrow morning. Dug the rear quarters out of storage (came with car). Will use the lower sections. Will cut them out before I fit the trunk floor so I can get right in to the corners of the drop off sections which will be exposed when the lowers are cut out.Bit daunting but its all about learning!

Just waiting for a couple of bits to arrive so I can get on with the indicator wiring. Want to move the side lights up into the headlamps while Im at it. Busy times ahead!

Will post some pics up when panels done tomw.

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Busy weekend on the Fury.....some progress in the trunk.....

Went over to see Will as he has the kit to roll beads into my floor panels. Was a learning curve for both of us and to be honest, Will did all the thinking stuff and I just turned the handle on the machine. Was a great day and lovely breakfast....thankx as always Will. Was a good laugh mate!

Very pleased with the results. Got a bit done today but struggled to weld much as its been windy. Got the cross braces in for the centre section but they are not strong enough to tame the ripple in the panel (due to beads) so will have to add some shallow box section across the bottom to strengthen it all up later in the week.

Anywhere that is to be welded has been coated in weld through primer ready for a still day....rest in red oxide. Glad I havent got a garage to work in as I would bd out there till midnight!

Cheers Steve

Knackered now :thumbright:
