[quote="Mick"]Maybe the VW convertible that runs in super gas.
James from norfolk runs a 4 spd chevelle that would fit in nicely at dragstalgia.

Very nice car, i knew it was a manual but i didn't realise it was a 5 spd. Very cool.
Of course we have our very own DB, maybe he could make a second appearance.

Finally got the boot lid straight enough to finish the Dzus brackets, so that's ready to prep for paint. Back bumper is also straight now after some careful work on the hydraulic press, it can be prepped as well. Fitted the trans crossmember and the billet shifter bracket, shifter nearly finished.

Fair bit going on at the front too, K frame back in, motor set in the correct position and solid mounts made and ready to go in. Picked up an ally rad at the swap meet so working on installing that too. Needed to fit a later water pump for that to work, and started mocking up for the Denso alternator conversion. Once The motor is bolted in position I can finalise the rad position and try to work out what I need for hoses. Should all start to come together a bit more next week.

Looking good as ever Blue, great to see you have had the hole swager out again!
Love the story about buying the rear lights too, bizarre!
Great thread.
Rich.

Yea, the punch swager is a great tool, I think it's designed mainly for aluminium though, because using it on steel sheet as I have wears the main bolt out after about 6 holes.
Used my last bolt today, ordered another 8 to keep me going....

I recon it takes more time to mark out than knock them out.
Great stuff as usual
