Went for the safety inspection yesterday. Needs 1 brake drum and two brake equalisers. So jumped in the Fury and took a drive to National Moparts, about half an hour from here.

The place was swarming with Dutch guys buying up loads of stuff!

Nigel the owner has a black 4 door Belvedere, so he took many pics of the cars. He had a good old look over it, and gave me the thumbs up! He was shocked at how cheap I got the car for!!

Got new drums and equalisers, all less than 100 bucks! Driving back by the lake in the sunshine, listening to the AM radio. It suddenly came to me. The theme for this car....... Ed Roth! Yep, it is going to be a "Finkster"!

Mockup of trunk...

Popped into the local art store and stocked up on some One Shot paint and a few brushes. Will start the lettering tomorrow if all goes well! No vinyl on this baby, Ed would've hated that!! :thumbright:

Got some history and an appraisal on the car today.....

I am the 3rd owner from new. Car came to Ontario last year from Washington. It has 73,000 documented miles, was always garage kept, and never driven in the winter. Original owner was an old grandad type.

Most of the paint is original factory finish, no welds or patches anywhere. Valued at $8000. So, I think I done OK.

How about the Milner specials from Stockton wheel? They'd look great on a black car for that American Graffiti look....

Mmmmm Liking those, Blue. Think they would suit down to the ground!

Jeff, I'll be honest, I wasn't sure at all from the mock up, but I really like the paint once it's on the car! 8-)

Jeff, I l0ove that car, but for me the pin striping detracts  Its a personal thing, but for me, that with a rip snorting big block and no outward indication of its power would be top nothch.

Great car though. :thumbright:

I know Clive.... But I have to advertise some of my painting work. One of the reasons I sold the truck was because I could not bring myself to paint that. Now I am feeling the same about his one.

I have to do something on it!

Sorry Jeff, but that pinstripping doesnt do that. You have painted some gorgeous stuff. Tanks, lids, guitars. Blows pinstripes into the weeds. ;)

Jeff, go to town on the paint. If its going to be a billboard for you, then that must drive hard on the requirements?

Its gonna look good whatever you do. Irrespective of differing tastes.
