I used to rent a lockup from Bolton Council..£8 per week not big enough for a BBody...it was tight and had to go in turning as only one and a bit car lengths space outside..had to get close to one side otherwise imposible almost to get out.with the cougar had to touch the back wall square with the rear bumper touching it was less than an inch free length space free with door closed.
Bit easyer in the Duster and Falcon a few inches shorter.but no room at the sides still (see pic)
The Roadrunner i used to store in a local car warehouse 20 per week...the car dealer did not mind as his customers used to like to see it and he had plenty of free space. Then his wife left him and the buisness went tits up! so lost that storage.
The cobra i just used to park outside in all weathers.
I can tell you the best thing about not owning a car now is worrying about storage its a big weight of my mind.

I bought my house about 10 years ago and my only stipulation was a garage.
Only then it was for my bikes.
It's a shared access to my garage which is under 6 foot wide !
Wouldn't get a b bod in the garage anyway.
Quite happy driving the old girl to my parents daily where I keep the work van. About an hour a day in a v8 Mopar.
Happy days

Big thanks to everyone for the answers and suggestions. Seems like its just normal to struggle for space with a Mopar in the UK. If I'd have thought the RR wouldn't fit in the garage I almost certainly wouldn't have bought her, so in a way, I'm happy to have been wrong. Extending the back of the garage is impossible - backs into neighbours garden. Extending front a bit could work, maybe car port could be an easy interim measure too...
It's amazed me that, in searching for a storage option, I've found waaaay more folk searching for storage than offering it. Sounds like a business opportunity for someone out there.
So far the only storage option I've found is at Brands Hatch - about 40 miles away. Don't think I'll take that up as anything other than a last resort. I'll keep on looking.

There is another Mark Donahue one in the UK Duncan a nice Blue one...not for sale as far as i know....spoke to the owner at the nats a few years back one reason he bought the car was because it was a bit of an underdog and did not want a Mustang or Charger like most.
Some pics if it on Dave McBrides website.
Nice collection of cars Andy.
It must be around a hundred meetings I’ve attended in the last 19 years with that car. Driven to in the first 15 years and more latterly, trailered. On one occasion (last year's HRD's), it took me half an hour to get in, you couldn't park anywhere that wasn’t in the weeds and queue started at the return road. I like it, but these days not enough to push that heavy muther 1.5 miles up & down the pit road on my own. So, with a heavy heart and a lazy arse, decided it would have to stay put on the trailerCannonball wrote:perfect nick, now that is proof positive your runner NEVER comes of the trailor,,,,,,,,,,,,,Nick wrote:Measure the land available and build the house around the garage![]()
