Yeah. I altered the length the other side of the pivot but not this side.
I'll do the careful measuring I should have done first time around ;)

Did the arm come with the hemi trans? As Blue said there are some variations, used to have a selection but that was a long time ago!

The trans came from Dunc, he gave me a box of them to try and I picked the one that looked closest, how wrong I was!
You can see in this pic just how far out it is!
It's great actually as I've always had trouble adjusting the clutch and it's always felt a bit 'wrong', now I know why!
I'll get the proper arm and pivot ordered from Brewers.

I worked out the arm protrudes 5/8" too far into the release bearing.
So, I drilled and tapped the bellhousing and just moved the bloody pivot!

Now it's bang-on. I mocked up the Z-bar and it actually improves clearance between that and the starter motor so it appears there's no downside :thumbright:

I just need to order the retaining springs and it's done. The gearbox will then hopefully be off to Duncs for a freshen-up.

I have had one of those pivots boxed and braced and it still bent, so you may want to consider that before closing it all up.

Hope it all works out Ok.
