Excellent work. I still haven't actually seen this car since its been in your custody, despite driving past the house several times a week!

Always welcome to call in for a cuppa, Matt. (The Dart is at work, not home

)
So we installed a new carb back in February and decided to pop along to the pod this weekend as it was so nice.

What an amazing weather day.
The Holley 850 TrackWarrior was nice and crisp and has made the motor more responsive

I'm really enjoying the learning process of basic tuning and the great feeling when you actually make a positive difference. Like managing to get good throttle response and smooth out bogs and stumbles
We had an awesome day and met up with (I think) a chap called Bob and his with Pat who had a '64 Chrysler 300K if I remember right.
Now I need to learn how to get the power from the wheels to the track

. Yes we did have great fun but I just couldnt get hooked up off the line and spun up, squirming all over the show down the track.
I added air, took air out. Even added a passenger

which was actually the best 60' time of the day as it happens.
Anyway, lots to learn and plenty of room for fun and improvement

quicker than you think, five years ago I had no idea how a carb really worked let alone work on one.
The same goes for stripping and putting an engine back together, never thought I'd do that either
Lots of help from this great forum and its members, that's for sure

Had a little play at the weekend with a fellow Dart among the rice burners.
Needless to say, I was put back in my box

These tyres have just gotta go
