Fantastic Blue, well done, looks really good. You will have to paint the outer body in one go now though being as its metallic, dont worry about getting too much colour on in one go, just make sure its even and dont allow each coat to go fully off before applying the next. Same with the lacquer, apply it whilst the colour is still tacky. Cant wait to see it finished, plus you'll have the satisfaction you've done it all yourself ... :thumbright:

Probably best to paint the door and trunk shuts separately to, then mask them off with soft edge

You know I reckon I could make a reasonable job of it, I might have a go next year.

Great job Blue, just make sure you have the correct protection using 2K paint, it's deadly stuff. Chris

Silly question.....Can the dash frame been unbolted/removed, or do you have to paint it in situe? :thumbright:

You’ve been busy,
Looking good, are all the holes standard on the top right hand side or have you had your drill out again.😀

As far as I’m aware the dash frame doesn’t come out Dave.

Dash frame is stock, no Swiss cheesing going on here. Yes the dash frame unbolts but it's a screen out job as there are bolts under the the windscreen rubber. For that reason I had the difficult job of masking it up and painting it in situ, it looks to be impossible but it can be done.
