I love this thread. I gotta stop reading this thread.
I find it awe inspiring and depressing at the same time... I thought I had a nice car until I started following this ! :)

Stunning work. Heading towards the best one I've seen I think.

There are 4 nuts welded on the rad then 4 holes in the front of car then 4 bolts bolting it to the front. If that makes sence :? Can get you better pics later

Holes are maked red on picture

I gotcha ;)
Did you bother to rubber mount it? I did with mine, I was a bit worried about the ally cracking.

Its more efficient to suck air through a small gap rather than blowing it through the same sized gap.

No was not worried but i am now
I will install large rubber washer between the car and the ally rad but still use bolts.

Or did you go the hole hog and mount on rubber like an exhaust mount.

You have somthing like this ???

:iagree:

All car manufacturers (high hp) use suck rather than blow........ I'd also say having the fan and shroud mounted between the linear airflow pushing its way through and the radiator body would disrupt the flow of air and reduce heat dissapation/cooling efficiency.

I put mine in front and wired them to blow, just to unclutter the engine bay.
I'll swap them around at some point then, that all makes sense!

Will- I didn't go as far at the old Mini exhaust bobbins, mutch as i do love 'em ;)
I fitted lengths of plastic edging trim along the top and bottom rad edges.
Then I made a channel across the bottom of the rad support it to sit in and made little clamps across the top to hold it in place.
