ummm. How fast will this thing go ? (serious question)
300mph
No wonder you're adding the aerodynamics!

Everyone I know who has riden a periscope has fallen over.
The front fairing might not be SCTA legal under the partial streamlining rule. Your frame setup is reminiscent of Costella’s 5050 streamliner. Unfortunately all prone streamliners are now banned.
I must have missed it in the midst of the thread, but what are you using for a front tire?
300mph your options become limited. Almost all the small tires have been banned now. We got banned at at an ECTA event because of having a 10” rear wheel. And we are no-where near 300! SCTA gave us a 75mph speed limit because of our tire choice.
This could be a limiting factor. You can always mail a few sets of wheels and tires to Calspan for them to destroy, in return you will get a report with a recommendation for the upper limit of the tire. SCTA May or may not buy it.

And this is where It started all going wrong.
We decided that we’d like to do wind tunnel testing
Using a smaller scale model we could dramatically reduce costs and possibly 3-D print body ideas to quickly test.
We 3D printed a 40% scale model engine and found a 40% rear go kart tyre that was within 2mm Of its 40% larger big brother

Next we needed to find a 40% scale model of me
I would like to introduce the newest member of the team Moana

Will,
Fantastic work & ideas, although to 3model takes a lot of work, so many benefits can come from that, need to find some one to do some simulation work on some body designs, airflow. Stress analysis will help you on chassis design. I so wish I was at work & had access to some of the great tools now available
Always an interesting post to read

Will Moana need a haircut for less resistance or can you grow yours to match???

The wind tunnel we will be using has a treadmill floor that will move at 100mph+ .
The model will be hung from the Ceiling and while the wheels won’t be weight-bearing. They will be required to spin This is to simulate airflow around the tires which are typically a very draggy area. Good Bearings and tracking adjustment where built into the model
Not everyone was impressed with me bringing home a 3ft doll

(serial killer Moana is particularly disturbing!)
Nah. I love it ! Keep 'em coming !
