It is a great little car. I would of loved to keep it. I bought it as a joint venture between me n Joe... But Joe just did not seem to have the spark for it.

cheers for the comments guys :thumbright:

especially Duncans-thats like a knighthood for me 8-)

as we all know its hard work doin the graft yourself and i have a nice scar on my hand to show for it !
but that first drive makes it all worth it-all the diy`ers on here take a bow.

engine by the way is a good ol anchor 318 with 360 heads-Jeff kindly gave me the lump with the car,so apart from checking the bottom end and new timing gears its a bit of an unknown-managed a low 15 at the 09 nats with 2.76 gears and 205 tyres so should be better now.

The motor came out of Roydon's Scamp... Joe Reynolds removed it when he tore the car down.

I once went for a blast down the A505, when the motor was in the scamp.. I was in the Coronet, Joe in the Scamp. I was really surprised how well the Scamp took off. I knew it was an OK motor, I had heard it run many times.

I bought Kev's old Holley from the Taxi.... And Joe kindly let me have the motor for free...

So I just passed them on to Dave when he bought the car. Together with some spares Steve (Latil) and Paul (Paulo) gave me.

And some parts I bought here in Canada.

Dave has done a great job on it... It just goes to show what you can do on a reasonable budget. This site helped a lot!
