All done and she fired straight up (after I tightened the earth lead properly  ).

She was outside last night in the cold and damp and fired up fine this morning. Hopefully my starting issue may be resolved. A worthwhile conversion and not bank breaking.

Ive had to mount it on the passenger side wheel well as it wont fit properly where the orange box was. Wiring not as neat as I want but next year I may extend it so I can get it tucked away neatly. Works, thats the main thing!!

Thanks to all who helped as always,

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Thanks Pete....not quite racey.....just want reliability at the mo though I can now boast that I have an MSD coil!!! :thumbright: its a start eh!

If you cast your mind back to last year Pete, when you very kindly checked my electrics at the NEC....how did you test the START position on the ignition without the car turning over? I cant remember now as I was manning the key. Did we disconnect the starter earth wire or something like that?? :read2:

cheers Steve :thumbright:

It is the conditions at the Ballast - the Run 2 bypasses the Ballast, the Run 1 is the "Normal" position with the ballast in series to reduce the voltage to the 6v Coil....

Sorry Pete, I didnt word that very well....when we tested stuff, a couple of times I turned the key to START and you were able to take readings without the engine cranking over. How did you do that? What was disconnected during the test that gave you the results you were after but didnt turn the engine over??

Cheers Steve :read2:
