Nothing missing luckily! I take the safety guards off my angle grinders for better access, so I will occasionally take chunks out of myself...

Blue wrote:Hah, hardly! I'm in charge of a busy commercial workshop with around 150 vehicles under my control, they break down and get smashed up on a daily basis so it's hectic. I work 6 till 2 weekdays and occasional Saturdays as well. On weekdays I work 2 till 5.30 on the car, I'm very organised and motivated and work reasonably quickly if I get no interruptions. Evenings I do whatever "normal"stuff needs doing. Weekends I work on the house and try to get in a bit of leisure time. It can be done, if you want it enough...
Wow.

Car looks great and shaping up really nice. It will be very special once completed!

Dash mods, Dzus brackets made and fitted, bit of final prep to do and it can go in. The plan is to bolt it in and bond the top half and then cut it in situ along the dash pad line with a Stanley knife to get a tight fit and release the main section. I'll keep some plasters handy, I don't have a great history with sharp knives either

Found the perfect thing for you Blue..... Billy came home with some sheet magnesium. Man, it is lighter than feathers. They built the aeroflite body out of it at their place.... You would love it.

Yep I know a bit about Magnesium Jeff, It's not that easy to get hold of in the UK and it's crazy expensive! Also flammable, so no doubt you have to be careful working with it.

Have you ever seen the crashes in FI back in the day when a car caught fire and then the Magnesium wheels spark up...very intense white flames, absolutely lethal...

Back in my ToolRoom days we used to do specialised work for McLaren. At the time we were machining Magnesium gearboxe casings. One of the cases, was deemed scrapped.
On a late shift, my mate Richard, thought it would be a good idea to see how well it would burn.
I had only ever seen magnesium ribbon burn from my school days, so I had an idea what to expect. That was a big understatement :D

When it eventually caught light, the intense light from the fire was like a beacon & an alarm to our security. We couldn't put it out & had to let it burn its self out. Along with all the Tarmac from where it sat.

That was a big boll locking
