Cheers for the scale pics Kev.

It isnt as big as I thought it would need to be for that much detail. Is it tricky to put together?

Considering I've got a lame thumb it ain't too bad! (When you've fiddled that silly clip off the shaft of a dizzy a few times anything is easy! ;)) Not much progress today due to shopping/football/family stuff! 8-) Got the heads glued on and trimmed up some of the clear plastic for tomorrow. Progress will probably slow down now as I've got to do some painting (waterpump housing/dip stick/dizzy cap/coil/middle band of alternator and the oil filter, plus maybe some of the fuel plumbing.) More progress tomorrow night hopefully. Meanwhile look here;

I wondered when someone would mention that! Let's have a look at the facts; It was a Birthday present so I can't get into trouble for liking it and building it, I'm not out of earshot in the garage, I'm not on any kind of drink or drugs whilst modelling, I'm not down the pub, I'm available to let the dog out/see to George/fetch more chocolate. How many Brownie Points do you reckon I can rack up! Roll on the Summer! :D 8-) 8-) 8-)

One week in! Had a dilemma yesterday as the rocker covers are chrome and once it's all together you can't see the rocker gear. After trawling all over the 'Net a solution was found. On an Australian modelling site I found that to remove the chrome from plastic kits you soak the sprues in a mix of 50% Coke (NOT diet), 20% tomato ketchup and 30% pickling vinegar. This acidic mix removes the chrome plating a treat, apparently. Left the sprues in the gloop overnight and......Wow! Does it ever work! Quick bit of T-Cut and they are the bees knees! 8-) 8-) 8-)
