Well how plans change! :D

Just starting to design all the lettering and paint for the car, is still going to have a '60's Ed Roth feel about it.

Interior will remain stock, apart from some gauges. The steering wheel will be painted BRIGHT red flake.... I will get some of "Lil Daddy's" flake for that.

Steel wheels all round, spare pair of period slicks in the trunk.

8 3/4" suregrip outback.... And a 360ci or 340ci motor. Keeping the pushbutton for now.

Linelock will be added, as well as the fuel cell and nitrous, and all the fuel delivery system I brought over with me.

This should give me a very streetable car, that will look at home in any car show or cruise here, and should be able to have some fun at the track!

If we can get our reaction times down, maybe enter some more of the ONDR nostalgia bracket races next year.

Good thing is, I can source all of this down at National Moparts! Just a 35 min drive from here.

Any suggestions or ideas for the project will be greatly received! :thumbright:

Hi Jeff,

Projects are just so much fun!

Hope you and the gang had a wonderful Christmas!!!

I have done a few early 727 conversions to take the later '66' onwards converters.
I suppose you may have better access to early style high stall converters?
360 is deffo the way to go but you have the balanced converter problem.
With this in mind I would get a high stall converter for the pre 65 trans (different input shaft) and use a B@M style weighted/mooned-flexplate.
Or find a good trans shop and get them to swap out the early input shaft and front drum assembly for the 71-up system which is far more superior!
That way you can use any later 727 {NON-LOCK-UP}
converter 'simples'??? :thumbright:

Anyhow happy New Year to you from Bacca.

Good Grief!

Hey the good news is..... I have been invited as an artist to the next Rat Fink Convention..... It is a 2 day drive there.... 3 day event and a 2 day drive back. Could be a blast though.

The invite came from Ed Roth's wife... How cool is that!
