Not like mine then LOL.
Do a steady run to check the brakes etc and then you can start to lean on it.

Not a lot to reoport really, yeah I moved the fuse box before going to the HRD's much easier to get in and out of now, also new tyres on the rear, but only had one run all weekend due to a badly bent half shaft. So this year I made it down the 1320 four times and not one of them with my foot down all the whole 1/4 so should I be happy to have gone 11.9 ?
Not touching the car for the next couple of months now, I have got to get some more parts sorced as I want to put the tunnel ram on and then fit the nitrous kit I purchased
Might also put it back on the road too

Although it to chuffing cold to work outside I managed to get some work done this week in the front room. I have been assembling parts for this for a few years and it was time to put it all together. You will now see the reason for the large cowl hood.
I had bought an unmessed with RB Weiand tunnel ram a few years ago and at the time I had a pair of 600vs and I was going to use them, untill Jerry Smith put up an advert for a tunnel ram and a pair of matched carbs so I bought the lot. Unfortunatly the manifold that came from Jerry was a Max wedge tunnel ram and was of no use to me but the carbs would be, although they would need a complete rebuild.
As you can see from the first picture the car when it came to me had had the guide slot on the primary shaft removed as I have now found out would come into contact with the top of the tunnel ram. also the ramp for opening the secondaries had been modified to delay the secondaries opening (these should open as the same time on a 660) I searched everwhere on the net to find some replacement shafts as Holley dont make them anymore, eventually I was told to try .allcarbs.com and bingo they had some new shafts and not a bad price either $75 inc shipping to the door..... Ordered. when removing the old shafts I found that the throttle blades were very slightly bent so I got back intouch with allcarbs.com/ and some were shipped out to me. As I have never been a fan of the side hung float chambers on holley carbs durring the research on these carbs I found that one thing they suffered with was fuel stavation to the rear bowl I went thought the box of old carb bits I have and found four centre hung float bowls.
To allow the primary guide plate to miss the top of the tunnel ram I have installed a nitrous plate under each carb (I will run that next year) and with the cometic carb gaskets everything now clears

Thanks to Blue for finding a Enderle linkage on ebay usa both carbs now operate nice and smoothly.
My latest purchase was a long nose 240v die grinder and selection of some carbide burs so I am just got to strip it all apart and port match it all. I cant do that in the front room though mmmm its snowing again and Mary's at work so I might use the kitchen
Cant wait to bolt this on...
