Just a thought.. Do you remember the small block Valiant Mopar Action successfully roundy roundy raced about 15 years ago? I remember the reg on it was NUKE GM. They did a great job with that car.

Also, you mention a modern Hemi.. At the Mopar Nat's in the USA a couple of months ago I saw a very tastefully built 70 Dart with a new Hemi installed, very nice indeed. As more new parts become available we'll see more of that.

I think the Hobby is evolving.
So let me get this straight.

You take a car. Fit a modern alloy EFI engine. Better brakes and suspension. Wide wheels. Fit plastic body panels to make it lighter. Maybe remove the rear seat too so it is a two seater now.

Mmmm.

Working on seat mounts at the moment, spent a ridiculous amount of time working out the best way to make them strong, light and in the right place. 3 almost finished, 1 more to do....

8-) 8-) 8-)

Great job Blue. I would get out of this wood playing game tomorrow if I could and work on Mopes. Would love the fabrication side of things ( I had a year doing sheet metal work after completing my carpentry and joinery apprenticeship. Mild , stainless and ally. Mig,tig and plasma welding. Loved it )

Seat mounts tacked in today, could'nt finish off because I ran out of MIG wire  Dug out some valve covers, the M/T's were in poor shape so needed to be blasted, Jem bless him polished both sets by hand. The M/T's will go on the 318 and the Ansen's will go on the 408 once I get the breathers.

Looking good - you did not opt for the usual Vauxhall seat runners?

Nope, I'm trying to go super lightweight with everything on this one.
