Gotta love a Tunnel ram set up, I've got a few at the moment.

Guy, you'll need a set of snap gauges as well to properly port the manifold, I bought a cheap set off ebay when I did mine. It takes a lot of hours to do the job, matching the 2 halves and opening up the runners to full port size. I found on mine the runner was smaller than the port for about 2" in, they get bigger after that, it has to be worth some hp getting rid of that restriction.

accelerator pumps not connected,should have them on both fuel bowls on double pumpers,regards,dave.

Well spotted

On a 660 centre squirter there is only one 50cc accelerator pump at the front of the carb and a single shooter in the middle of the four venturies.

The pumps you can see have been disconnected and the arms now removed, the 50cc pumps are on the correct side of the carbs. I did this as I only had double pumper rear bowls and needed to stop the fuel from coming out so they were installed with diaphrams on the rears.

Well despite trying the manifold top both ways around it the ports would not line up and other than welding up the stud holes in the runner section and re-tapping the holes so everything lined up, you can see how big a step there was in the first picture.

Well not exactly port matching but more blending at this stage, I will be porting down the runners but not opening them all the way more of a clean up as I feel I need to keep the velocity up in the runners as the motor doesn't benifit form the huge ports found in some heads. The bottom of the runners will obviously be port matched to the heads.

I was going to do more today but that wind was too damn cold for just sitting outside

Sorry John I somehow missed your reply. Yes that does look good you must have spent hours on that, mine doesn't come close but it will do for now.

As its been to chuffing cold outside I did some more work on my tunnel ram

As there was some staining on the outside of the manifold I decided to get it coated along with the fuel bowls as they were four different colours, at least they all match now.

Just got to figure out a way of connecting the pedal to the linkage, I have seen some people use a solid rod between the two but am unsure how they mounted everything by the pedal

anyone got any pictures or a quick sketch on how to do this

I used a solid rod with a small rose joint at each end. I made a new neater and lighter pedal. You can use the exsisting pedal by just welding a small plate at the top to bolt the rose joint to.

I have done the same as John, and on the Barracuda we have used a cable.

The hard part is getting the ratio's right so that you get a progressive throttle that closes fully and yet still attains WOT.

On the Barracuda it has two settings - shut and open. However, this is a race-only car and you may wish to be a bit more "delicate" on a road going vehicle.....
