Just rested it in to see what needs moving/cutting mounts and headers are easily available but the trans tunnel and k member need some massaging

It doesn't and the Indy motor has gone to a new home today, I want to use the car on the street a lot more than I have recently, the gen 3 hemi is good for 22mpg and 425 hp stock so with headers and a tune 450-475hp, that should be good for low 12's maybe high 11's on a good day, coupled to the 5speed auto should be a really useable car

I like the sound of this Jerry, though all the electronics that gos with the new Hemi would have me stuffed!

It might have me stuffed yet Ivor, I'm doing it the hard way, the easy (or should I say easier) route is use a truck gearbox or manual, but I want to keep the 5sp auto, there is only one company currently offering the electronics to do this but having done a lot of research they seem to be very good and reliable, basically you send the ECM and all other computers back to them, they build a custom harness, remove all the need for coded keys etc and hey presto.... Ask me in a few months if this is actually the case
Other things you have to do are change the sump for mid sump rather than front, headers, relocate or rotate oil filter 90 degree's and buy mounts to suit headers, all this stuff is readily available and I would think will become more and more popular, there are other things to alter, the trans tunnel needs massaging but a lot less than I anticipated, it is by no means a simple 10 minute job but will all be worth it in the end (I hope!!!!)
To improve the drive ability I am also switching to the new magnumforce transformer k member with power steering, coil overs and 1 1/8 anti roll bar, unfortunately there is a 4-6 week wait as this is a new set up and apparently they are selling faster than they can make them,

Here are a couple of better pics of the hemi resting in place

Once you get this sorted Jerry, I reckon a fair few will follow your lead, if the car performs as expected...good luck mate, I'm sure it will work out in the end! :thumbright:

When we get the k member and headers etc I'll (Marc) do a more detailed account of what's involved and with plenty of pictures

Started on the front end, strengthening the shock towers ready for the magnumforce front end, one side is done, believe it or not that is a full day in bending the tube and making the brace's will do the other side this week, it is all chrome moly including the braces and plates, so nice and light

Looking good Jerry :thumbright:

I can appreciate the time it takes, I can take ages making something & people dismiss it as a 10 min job

I get sick and Tied of people thinking its a two minute job because there mate said thats how long it should take. Sometimes a two minute job can take all day if things go wrong. You never know.
That tubing look lovely. Nice Job :thumbright:
