Me Chally came with buckets but I wanna bench seat
Apparently they were standard but everyone went for the buckets so they seem to be extremely rare. As far as I know tho 71-on Chargers, coronets Roadrunners and Belvederes used same style buckets & consoles as E-bodies so would a bench seat from one of those be the same as on E-body ? I'm starting on the interior after Chrismas so any help would be appreciated as I'm not a great fan of the 'tombstone' seats
My Duster has a bench seat from a 73 Barracuda i think? my Roadrunner should also have a bench seat instead of its lovely buckets.
And would you belive my Duster feels better with bench seats! i prefer them to buckets and its better for romantic drives as well

I'm in no position to argue Dave, and incidentally I am single... Ahem, as for the gearshifter I am going to do a combo-autoshifter/long pistolgrip (B-bod) and have it on the floor not column. Idea is that it will appear a bit like manual floorshift on benchseat equipped B-body/ Charger. Some may scoff but It's my car and I will ave it how I like it
Fair dos, thats a first ever pic of a challenger bench seat I had seen
I have to admit tho I much prefer the bench style of sixties mopars as these E-bod ones still have the "tombstone" style backs that I'm not keen on. I wonder if it would take a lot of fettling to get a conventional late 60-s B-bod or charger split-bench into an E-body. Any ideas ? It would be great if someone could provide me with a pic or two of a typical mopar bench seat from underneath.
Bottom line is that I like interiors from 60's Mopars, but from outside I prefer the groovy coke-bottled E-bodies ...rather inconvenient
