Braided fuel line
I am having trouble fitting the unions to my fuel line, what is the easiest way to do so, and best way to cut it
I found the best way to cut the braided line, is to wrap some masking tape round it, mark your line on that, and use a dremil with a very thin cutting disc.Make sure you don't have any sprayed wires.
Petrol is for washing parts, Alcohol is for drinking, Nitro is for racing!!!

i cheat, i take it to my local hydraulic hoze place and they cut it for me and fit the ends (work spends loads with them so i get this service free 
) you cant beat the quality of the work done by people who do it for a living. try chatting to a local firm , you might find ine of the employees is into cars, if so you might get a good deal.

as has been said, masking tape, to cut use either a cutting disc in a normal grinder or failing that a grinding disc will work ok
If you find the cut end is not square after the cut just grind into the centre of the pipe, this way the disc will not unravel the braid.
Remove all rubber dust from the inside of the pipe either with an airline or a welding rod or similar
The secret is having a clean cut with no or minimal unravelled wire, start to wind the collar over the pipe poking in any stray wire until the collar is all the way on and the hose it right at the bottom of the threaded inner bit.
Use WD40 on the tail and wind it in, they don't have to be really tightened just a decent nip is fine.
Some tails have quite a flair at the tip and some don't, this is ok, the flaired ones can be difficult to get started into the hose, if they are just use a stanley knife and bevel the inside of the hose about a 1/16" to give it a chance
