Hot Mustard is the colour of my Car
Berger paint
Its a Chrysler Hi impact colour for Australian chryslers
It appears to be the same as Dodge Butterscotch or Plymouth Bahama Yellow. from 1969 this was a 999 order paint colour i.e special Order in the US
can anyone confirm they are all the same thing?
This is the info t'internet has to offer

If indeed Austrlian Hot Mustard (Bahama Yellow) is the same as US Bahama Yellow is lotus/Porsche/ford/renault Bahama Yellow the same thing
i.e once a certain shade is called something does the name remain the same regardless of who orders it up and who makes it?
i.e is that shade patented copyrighted and otherwise owned by the inventer like say a logo or font or design
The chap who is sorting the rear arches/valence of my car uses Lechler paint and is getting grief from the paint supplier, cant find, can't mix can't get until you supply more info.
Told him to take the bootlid down to the paint shop and test out on the inside. (to compare with the sun bleached outside of course)
any help gratefully received
Dave

I can get you Glasurit and R-M formulations Dave and I can do it from Chrysler records or do a spot on match if you have an unadulterated part of the original colour left (such as behind a rubber trim or an inside panel) but that's not much help if your painter is a Lechlar user.
However, there is hope, Berger paint was taken over by the German company Standox, so there is a good chance that a Standox distributor would be able to cross reference the original Berger number.
I have a feeling that Lechlar's colour database is not too clever, but you'll be please to know that if you sniff it you get that funny tingling feeling in your toes like you get when you have a really long wee.
I thought you'd like to know that Dave.

Ivor. you know it.....I love a really long wee.

satisifies like a pint and castella did in the '70s.
so on the paint front all is not lost, which is excellent
i have left a message for the slow but dependable painter that covers everything apart from the sniffing bit. I heartily expect, being a painter that he is well aware of the joys

I will return here once he responds with any further requests (probably in 3 weeks time when the effects ware off or he drags himself away from the urinal)
nice

Dave
