Can some one please identify this decal (pictured below).
I assume this is not correct for a 68 Road Runner as the decals were black & white for that year. However I would like to fit one of these colour ones to my car. So to order one I need to know what model year it originates from. (and the location on that model)
Also recommendations where to buy one from.
Thanks

That colour one is correct for a 68 runner. There was some option that got that ally panel on the rear, and it always had acolour 'Bird' sticker on. If you didnt have the package (no rear panel), no colour bird on the back and all the declas round the car were black n white. Might be a little out there, but that sticker is correct for your car with that ally panel.
Loafds of places sell em, Year one being just one.
You're correct, looking at the year one site the colour decal was used when the decor package was fitted, but still with the black & white birds on the dash and doors? Very strange, why didn't they just update all the decals to colour ones?
Thanks

JC , I have one that I never fitted to my old 68 - I still have the trunk finish panel too! It looks pale in the photo, because it still has the protective covering.
As my good friend Mike Jones owned your car back in the 80's, I'll post it to you for nowt - well I won't say no to a cold tinny at the Nats if you insist. PM me your address.
OK Julian - decal on it's way. Here's a pic of Mike with your car at Wheels Day when it was at Slyfield Green, probably late 80's. He's the one that looks like Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran.
It great to see the car as it was in years gone by, I'm starting to accumulate a number of pictures now from its previous life. Bit of a shock to see it all in black!
Cheers

Clivey, thanks for the kind words. I'm with Earl on this one. Karma - what goes around comes around. Folk have given me stuff, or gone out of their way for me, in the past. Jim Wilson and Chris Muldutch spring to mind. So if someone needs something more than I do, I try to keep the chain going. It's no big deal anyway, it only cost a few dollars about 15 years ago.
