A rectangle of plate steel, two holes, two bolts.

Just in case you want to make one. Handy to have. ;)

cheers dave i kind of figured something like that but am being lazy i guess. will make one when i have some material and more time but if i could borrow one it would get me out of trouble this time

I just meant if you need to make one because you can't get hold of one this weekend.

The great thing about having a dog to walk is you find odd bits of steel in the grass now and again. In particular where there has been construction or demolition going on.
I always pick them up and bring them home. Never short of the stuff. Very handy.

I thought that was a scrap yard in the background of your avatar? I must be mistaken.
