You can get new universal joints , just gotta find what size you need. :thumbright:

Pete, you should be able to get UJs from USAutomotive or John Woolfe Racing who are also in Bedford.

Here you go Pete

And yes, it is to stop the prop either coming through the floor n chopping your legs off and or dropping down and diggin in the ground and flippin the car over.

A prop loop is a good insurance against the prop letting go & smashing the underside of the car & you to bits.

As it says , it's a loop around the prop shaft , which is bolted to the underside of the car.

I imagine you have the small type UJ's, I recently got a set from USAutomotive for about £25. Then i use a place in Coventry called Dave Mac to do the prop build and balance. That costs about £85, seems alot but they do an excellent job.

I am just down the road from you at the moment in Woburn. If you like I can take your prop up to Cov to get done?

The cheap Summit Racing loop simply bolts to the floor. I welded mine into the floor and chassis recently for good measure.

I have heard very good reports on Dave Mac. Came highly recommended to me when ours started looking out of shape, not had it done yet, though. Will pull it at the weekend.

Anyhoo, Dave Mac is 02476 683239. :thumbright:
