Heres my new motor, its a plymouth duster,(to be) street/strip car :D
I have plans for it which will come later in the series ;)
Big thanks to Mick off the message board who kindly did a great deal for this car and couldnt have been more helpfull in making arrangments for its arrival into my hands! Hopefully it'll see a bit of action on the strip next year against his dart :thumbright:

Im not sure of all the details with the car, but what i know so far is- 383 motor, possible 509 purple cam, edelbrock performer manifold, holley, hedman hedders, msd-6 ign, 727 trans with possible 3500 stall vertr, trans kit, 8 3/4 sure rear, semi tub(not rear ended) s/s rear springs, disc front with coil overs and a host of other stuff i cant think of at the mo!

Should start work on it soon and will update my progress, cant wait to have it on the street eating up the road

Sounds good Pete, love the old race cars too, originally was trying to buy the 67 bellv II that Nigel Swift had but it fell through at the last min and i've wanted a sox replica since, i do like the 68 cuda's but their making big bucks at the moment, the duster was perfect for what i wanted and a bit more, has all the mechanical work done and was originally a manual car so that can be redone over time, so its really down to gettin the body prepped and sorted, trying to get the original sponsor decals for the front wings, have most of them now, champion, hay's,valvoline, crager, hooker, sox shield, just need the fram filters and firestone decals and ill have almost the original look decals, was finding it hard to get the font for ths actual sox door decals but a friend of mine has sourced the font and did a great job getting the near perfect copy of this, still trying to locate the hooc scoop but alot of places dont do it any more, just have to keep looking,, the six pack hood will do for the moment! all good things come to those who wait :thumbright:

Mo, Lovely car that, seen it run, good 383 in there...Micks a great guy too

Can i see a shot of the finish line in your Garage

In my opinion too many S+M cars around now,... go for something slightly more individual and still a classic drag car
