Colour change or not?

Post by vipergts »

Right Guys.

For those of you that don't know.....My 68 RT Charger is currently at JPC having the full monty.

It is an original CA car with 1 US owner until it came here in around 2004. Got the original bill of sale and letters from the US owner with nice history etc.

The car will still have all it's original panels and interior etc. I just wanted it blindingly perfect.

So the Question is......Should I take this oportunity to change the colour from it's original yellow you can see in my Avatar?

At this stage I have a blank canvas but worried that it might ultimately devalue the car.

Just think, it could mean the difference of a few hundred k in 20yrs time.

Paint it metallic silver with a red bumble be stripe...Its your car so if you have a colour in mind go for it. I hate the factory look but each to his own :mytwocents: My car started out FY1 (yellow) I didnt like it so it got a deeper yellow & now its M.G Vermillion Red  I like it like this at the moment but give it a couple of years & it will probably end up Black ( I get bored easily)If you are doing it to turn over a proffit then I would agree with the other lads, if not have some fun with it & go with your heart.
Best of luck with it :thumbright: I am sure it will be stunning whatever colour you go for.
Adrian.
