well well, any off you boys that spend dollar on your engine, but begrudginly spend on the transmission let this be a lessen to you, the parts inside the car are from the high gear clutch drum that has exploded, because its a very weak part, this guy was lucky his car is in a mess but no mention that he got hurt so assume he did not, it could have cut his foot off, i have seen a box that has exploded in a jensen and a motor home, and obv racecars, if the sprag lays down its an explosion waitin to happen

just to add,

you can never guarantee that the sprag wont lay down, but you can stop the explosion, by either mainley for racers, fitting an alluminium high gear drum, or street cars fitting a decent steel high gear drum, the factory drum is a powder forging/casting and explodes when it revs out off control if the sprag Bananarama!,
long term the above mentioned are an investment,

If you look at the pit crew in the sequence of photos, you can see how attentive they are, NOT.....

It's the guy in the white T-shirt, shorts, and yellow ear defenders, that gets me. Didn't even bat an eye lid. Maybe he's seen it all before, but I think I might have at least seen if the driver was ok. Twat.

It that a problem to do with too much torque or rotating too fast?
Guess Im going to need to look at sorting the gearbox before the 512 goes in then...! :(
