I find that even with the normal size rear window I need all the mirrors I can get.
Even then I sometimes get a hell of a blind spot on some slip roads and on some roundabouts (one on the southbound A1 in particular) I have NO idea if there is anything coming or not if I get too far forward.
So I would fit the mirror.

i bought clamp-on RH mirrors for both my cars, they just clamp to the quarterlight frame with allen screws and a padded bar. they are convex so the view is reasonable

yeah, fit the mirror. Easier to fit than a new quarter panel when you side swipe a Sprinter or something in your blind spot.

Agreed, fit the mirror.
I'm looking out for a passenger side mirror for my B body because my drive is only four inches wider than the car

I can't fit a RH mirror to the Buick 'cos it won't go in the garage then. Yes, its that tight.

I think in the interets of safety no one would tell you off for doing that.
Now go and weld it on in the most horrific manner possible

Ok, i can get two types of clamp on mirrors but i think the stems maybe a little long making them stick out too far.
whaddya think?
They are both about the same size, i would say the round one is the same diameter as "WillDatsun's" and the squareish one a little wider at the widest point.
?17.00 each to yer door.
I think the clamp may need to be "shaped" to fit the window trim/post.

Hi Wildman,
thanks for looking - much appreciated, but as you say, I think the stems are a bit too long.
I think the clamp on idea is a good one though.

Ivor,
