i cant work out why the big manufacturers cast these things so thick, its 1/2"(12mm) thick in places. im looking to remove abbout 30% of the weight. if i can do this to the manifold i might start looking at the block and heads ( i feel another rebuild coming on) and how much excess weight in in a gearbox or rear axle   im on a roll now.
