Talking of good books (if indeed we are), I got an absolute cracker off the missus for Christmas.

Its called Million Dollar Muscle Cars. When I got it, I was a bit sceptical as I thought 'oh no, another coffee table book with all the wrong information in it (I have another one with a picture of a 69 Charger 440RT, being referred to as a Hemi car).

Anyway, the information in this book is absolutely fantastic, I couldnt put it down. It doesnt cover very many cars, but it traces their ownership from the day they were bought new till today, and provides a full history of how the car came about. This is really rare special stuff from the mid sixties to early seventies. Cars such as:

The Pontiac GeeTO Tiger (gold plated Hurst shifter and wheels. 'Tiger' gold paint and 366bhp engine. You had to win it in a competition back in the day. It was a true 1 of 1 car.

67 Shelby GT500 Super Snake (620bhp off the showroom floor (ultra rare and not to be confused with the GT500.

Lots more besides, including Mopars.

I highly recommend it and give it a firm Tommy Two Thumbs :thumbright: :thumbright:

I got it too, it's pretty good, lots of info on all makes (as Ford started it, suppose they have to get a mention  )
Mostly, if not all (from memory) b&w pics, so defo not a glossy coffee table book.

Pretty cheap too so good value i'd say :thumbright:
