Well. So far I've been gathering parts for this car but I have actually started to take it apart now.

I will be removing the body from the chassis and it will be going back togther eventually with a replacement chassis.

The car will be also changing colour and getting a new converible top and a few other goodies.

The inner fenders unbolt (aah C bodies) as does the radiator panel. Nice one.

Now, if only people made body/trim/interior parts for this car the work ahead would be much easier!

Will, glad to hear the work has started. Hope it goes smoothly for you. Don't forget the regular detailed updates like you did with the GL you had.

Looking forward to seeing how it all goes. :thumbright:

I would imagine he will Rob. I have driven that car and that engine is as smooth as silk. Lovely 'together' motor that. Hauls that car about really well. I have to say, for driver comfort, both Will's and Latil's car are very good. Seem to be a lot nicer and relaxing than a B Bod :thumbright:

I hope that replacement chassis isn't from a Nissan Patrol or a Strange Rover

They haven't,it's a massive K frame from bumper to under the front seats. ;)

You're right Clivey, really comfy and relaxing to drive and handle very well for a 4400lb lump.

Nice one Will. Any ideas on a colour choice yet?

wow it really feels like I have an audience here! The car was originally metallic blue (B5?) So I plan on a rotisserie restoration *gulp* getting the whole car back to metallic blue, everywhere.
